This is Amanda! Since I am no longer the MD, I'll be posting under my own name from now on. Any post you see from the MD is Janelle!

Anyway, here's why I'm posting.

New TTMOE Album. Gorgeous. There's also a nice little review you can check out in this week's Racquette here.

This is a little late! But I figured I'd update anyway. The lovely people at Terrorbird hooked me up with a guest list spot for Bonobo on April 5th. Although I didn't adore the show (the vibe in general was really, really strange, and while the band played well, it just seemed so safe), I LOVED Andreya Triana. She did guest vocals on a… Read More

What I am listening to lately.

Friday, March 19th, 2010
Since nobody else updates this thing, I will take it upon myself to do so!

This is what I like listening to lately, so you should try listening to these things too:

In terms of non-current, I am also listening to a lot of Wilco's Yankee Hotel Foxtrot.

COOL, bye.

I asked everyone for their top albums of the year at the end of 2009, and I wanted to do this really sweet thing where I organized them based on where everyone placed them and made WAIH's overall Top 10! But it turns out our musical taste here at WAIH is so effing diverse, repeats were rare and repeats more than 2 times were virtually none. So instead, I am just going to post the #1's of the WAIH members that responded to my email, and you'll probably get an idea of how diverse the list was :)

This Blew My Mind

And I think it will blow yours too. Poker Face by Lady Gaga and Kids by the ever popular MGMT have the same chord progression, and thus you can tie them in together. Leave it to Weezer to tie together two completely unrelated songs by two completely different artists who play two grneres at each end of the spectrum. Enjoy! CMJ CMJ CMJ YAYYYY

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009
Ok so I clearly I have been crazy busy lately if I am just posting this now. But it's life, and it's happening, and it doesn't stop. Anyways, I was lucky enough to go to CMJ and it filled me with such musical joy. While I would love to write about everything that happened, sadly I do not have the time to so here are some sweet moments I think you should know about. TUESDAY HIGHLIGHTS: The Antlers- I fell in love with this band when we got their new cd Hospice at the beginning of the semester. I mean it has a really dark theme but the cd basically sums up everything I went through this summer when my grandma passed away. Anyways I think that is… Read More

This video blew my mind. It's too bad I don't really love the rest of the album.

Themed Shows

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009
So... For my non-format shows I like to set them to a theme. Recently I have done Halloween, as well as Beatles Covers and the 60's through the 80's. I am running out of ideas!!! So- If you have some good ideas for show themes, please let me know. -Greg I now leave you all with a picture of a joke on windows It seems that you are installing Windows Read More
